Bathroom Project.

a full renovation of the tiles in this bathroom was needed due to a failure of the tiles and the glue
( the glue was to strong for the tile on a brick surface) and a partined wall had also failed when the timber buckeled due to tempreture for this downstairs bathroom.

As you can also see the highly decorated tiles on the wall during the 70's were all removed from the false wall easily but on the brick wall these tiles proved more of a challange as they were laid directly onto the brick with a cement based glue, and the largest piece you could pull of was 1cmx1cm.

At first a hammer and chisel was used to take the tiles down but with the heavy work this would of taken a week. An airtool with a chisel and a aircompressor was used to remove the tiles and this only took 3 hours for the floor to ceiling tiles to be removed.

A new toilet, tap fittings, shower screeen and vanity uint were installed after tiling.
